Dear Middie Family,

I’m excited to share that four new school boundary options for our K-6 Redistricting Project are now available for your review and feedback.

You are invited to the Community Meeting on Wednesday, December 11, at 6 p.m. in the Middletown High School auditorium. During the meeting, representatives from Woolpert, our partner in the redistricting process, will present the proposed boundary options shared below. This will be a valuable opportunity to hear directly from the MCSD leadership team and Woolpert, ask questions, and share your input. For those unable to attend in person, the meeting will be live-streamed on our YouTube page.

REVIEW THE OPTIONS

Please review these resources to help prepare for Wednesday’s Community Meeting:

  • Proposed Boundary Options: This link contains information on the current boundaries, along with maps and metrics for the proposed options. (Printed copies of each option will be provided to those who attend the community meeting.)
  • Locator Tool: This tool allows users to enter an address to see how each option affects their specific residence.
  • Community Feedback Survey: We encourage you to complete the survey to share your thoughts and preferences on the proposed options.

All families are encouraged to review the options and respond to the Community Feedback Survey. Your input is vital to ensuring that the final boundaries reflect the needs of our students, families, and community. The plan is to have new elementary boundaries in effect for the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year.

RESOURCES

Thank you for taking the time to review the boundary options and for sharing your voice in this important process. We look forward to seeing you on December 11.

Sincerely,

Deborah Houser
Superintendent
Middletown City Schools
