Remote Learning Day for K-6 Students on Tuesday, May 6

Dear Middie Family,
We want to inform you that Tuesday, May 6, 2025, will be a Remote Learning Day for all kindergarten through sixth-grade students. Students in these grades will not report to school on this day; they will learn from home. It will be a regular school day for students in grades 7-12.
Ohio will hold its Primary/Special Election on May 6, and all of our district’s K-6 school buildings serve as polling places. Given the increased activity and foot traffic associated with polling places, we have decided to transition to a Remote Learning Day to ensure the safety and security of our students.
Ahead of the Remote Learning Day, all K-6 students will receive a Choice Board of activities to complete at home. Each student must select at least one experience from the Choice Board and complete a reflection sheet to be marked present on May 6.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in ensuring the safety and well-being of our school community.
