Middletown City Schools Earns Ohio Auditor of State Award with Distinction

Middletown City School District’s finance office has been recognized for its excellence in financial reporting, earning the Ohio Auditor of State Award with Distinction for the fiscal year ending in 2024.

Presented by the Ohio Auditor of State’s Office, this award is given to local governments and school districts that demonstrate exemplary financial accountability. To qualify, recipients must file an Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR) that meets the highest standards of transparency and compliance with all applicable laws.

The Auditor’s office commended MCSD, stating, “Your exemplary reporting serves as the standard for clean, accountable government, representing the highest level of service to Ohioans.”
