GATE Students to Host “Shine Bright for Cali” Fundraiser

Students in Mrs. Freudemann’s Gifted & Talented Education (GATE) program at Amanda Elementary are using their creativity and compassion to make a meaningful impact.

On April 10, from 5-7 p.m., these 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade students will host Shine Bright for Cali, a fundraising event in the Amanda Elementary cafeteria.

The event will feature handmade crafts such as slime, clay pieces, and jewelry, as well as delicious homemade treats, including family cake recipes and Chex mixes. Every item has been thoughtfully crafted by the students, who have poured their time and energy into this effort.

To promote the event, students created their own advertisements, showcasing their marketing skills and enthusiasm for the cause.

All proceeds from Shine Bright for Cali will go to the American Red Cross disaster relief program, directly supporting individuals and families impacted by the recent California wildfires.
