Back to School: Part 1

Dear Middies:

We are getting ready to welcome back all our K-12 Middies! Instead of everyone starting on the same day, we have decided a staggered start is the best choice for our students. We hope this allows our students to ease back into the school year, especially since many of our Middies will be returning to in-person learning for the first time since March 2020.

Please note that for our kindergartners and high school students, the phase-in days will occur on a different schedule from everyone else (see below). 

On Wednesday, Aug 11, 2021, all 1-12 grade students will pick up their district-issued devices at his or her school building. Details will be communicated to you by your building principal. Recoger dispositivos: 08/11

All K-12 grade Middletown students will begin the 2021-2022 school year according to the following staggered schedule:

 Grades 1-8:

• Only last names A-L will attend school on Thursday, August 12

• Only last names M-Z will attend school on Friday, August 13

• All students will attend school together on Monday, August 16

• Estudiantes con apellido de A-L en 08/12
• Estudiantes con apellido M-Z en 08/13
• Todos los estudiantes: 08/16

Grades 9-12:

• Only Freshmen (9th grade) will attend school on Thursday, August 12

• Only Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors will attend school on Friday, August 13 (freshmen stay home)

• All 9-12 students will attend school together on Monday, August 16

Kindergarten:

• Wednesday, August 11: Scheduled student conferences and KRA

• Thursday, August 12: Scheduled student conferences and KRA

• Friday, August 13: Scheduled student conferences and KRA

• Monday, August 16: Only last names A-L will attend school 

• Tuesday, August 17: Only last names M-Z will attend school 

• Wednesday, August 18: All kindergarten students attend school!
