UPDATE 2/24/21 3:50 PM: Earlier in the day, we evacuated the High School after dismissal. We have now been given the all clear by local law enforcement. The threat came from out of state.

Dear Middletown Community:

This message is to inform you that during the Middletown High School dismissal at approximately 2:20 PM today, Middletown High School received a tip that an individual threatened an act of violence against the school. While we notified Local Law Enforcement, the Middletown High School was vacated.

We implemented our crisis response plan, which places the highest priority on the health and safety of our staff, students, and community. Everyone responded quickly and followed prescribed police and school safety procedures.

Your child’s safety and well-being are our utmost priority. We will update you as soon as we have more information.
